Make Crayons at TELUS Spark | TELUS Spark
Using leftover crayons and oil pastels, your kids will melt them down and make our own new colours and interestingly shaped crayons. Young kids can practice safely using real tools and see what happens when you make something new from something old.

Sweet Summer Corn Fest | Calgary Corn Maze
The Sweet Summer Corn Fest activity line-up includes: Pony Rides – free with admission (11 am to 4 pm), Corn eating contest (2 pm) – Random guests will be selected to enter our contest. Try our delicious Taber corn on the cob (boiled of course) – $3.00 per cob, or buy some fresh Taber corn to take home and cook yourself!

Inglewood Family Pool Party | Inglewood Pool
Family pool party at Inglewood with games in the pool, DJ’d music, crafts and activities for families outside of the pool, and much more. $2 for adults, $1 for children.

Floating Lantern Peace Ceremony | Olympic Plaza Calgary
Come and float a lantern for peace, for those affected by atomic bombs. It’s $5 to float a lantern, and there are children’s activities throughout.

Dr. Suess in the Park | Riley Park
Dr. Seuss in the Park is a University of Calgary Students’ Union Volunteer Services program that promotes literacy for children in the Calgary community. Join us at the Reading Tent in Riley Park (8th Avenue and 12th Street NW), every Saturday until August 29, from 11 a.m. – 3:30 pm. The tent will be set up between the wading pool and the playground.
