Chinese New Year Festival | Calgary Chinese Cultural Festival
The CNY Carnival 2017 will comprise 4-weekend events featuring special festival decorations, performances of traditional Dragon & Lion Dance, festival music and dance, Chinese lantern displays & riddles, martial art demonstration, vocal singing, folk art demonstration, festival food and indoor bazaar trade booths selling all sorts of gifts and festival items.

Celebrate the upcoming Chinese Year of the Rooster by making your own a rooster puppet with shaped newspaper, paint and of course, lots of feathers! The workshop will be based on Click Clack Moo: Cows that Type by Doreen Cronin, a hilarious book about farmyard animals. Create a postscript for the book with what happens when the Roosters got a hold of the typewriter! Please note that children and teens must participate with an adult! Ages 4+
