Swimming with the kids can get expensive. At the regular prices, during the week, you could be looking at upwards of thirty dollars for admission into one of the local pools. Finding a way to offset that cost means being able to swim as a family more often, strengthening the kids’ swimming skills, and the bond as a family.
Splash and Swim is a program offered through Calgary Pools, where admission to the specific City of Calgary pools is only $2 for adults and $1 for children, on Sundays.

Swim & Splash Tips
- Come early. Because of the low cost of admission (and the fact that the regular prices are upwards of thirty bucks, families come to these swim times frequently). Come early to avoid disappointment, and lines, at the local pool.
- Don’t forget money for lockers. Bring an assortment of change for the lockers including quarters and loonies. You’re going to want to lock up your belongings as the change rooms are going to be packed.
- Bring a friend. With the low cost of admission, it’s a great time for parents to invite their children to bring along a friend.
- Drop off the kids. For children that are old enough, it’s a great time for parents to drop off for some swim time with friends.
