The Acura Tube Park is the largest of its kind in Western Canada! Calgary’s only tube park features 9 lanes, many close to 200 metres in length. The park is located on the main hill which allows tubers to take advantage of the washrooms, eateries, retail store and other amenities located in the Frank King Day Lodge.
Where can you buy tickets for the tubing park? Tickets may be purchased at Guest Services in the Frank King Day Lodge, online, or at the kiosks.
Is it kid-friendly? Adults may hold onto their child’s tube, conditions permitting. Children are not permitted to sit on the laps of adults going down the hill. Sliders can link together, conditions permitting, making it easy for adults to manage younger children tubing down the hill. There are kid-lanes at the hill. Children between 36” – 42” tall are permitted in our 2 kids lanes on their own, or in our full length lanes with a parent or guardian
What should you wear? Dress kids (and yourself) for the weather. Choosing boots that are insulated, to keep you warm through the entire tubing session, and that also have a good grip, are recommended. Snow pants, ski goggles and helmets are recommended (helmets are available for rent at the tubing park).
How much does it cost to go tubing in Calgary? Rates vary between $4.99 for preschoolers, to $24.99 for youth and $31.99 for adults, in two to four hour blocks. Family rates are available for $54 (two hours) or $79 (four hours). If you’ve got a WinSport Annual Family Membership, families will get free access to the tube park on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Warming up is easy, the tubing hill is located in an area where parents can easily access the washrooms and day lodge, for warming up between runs.
